“An Old Fashioned Holiday” is taking place this Sunday, December 8th, 2013 in Wellington Florida, so make sure to mark your calendar because you will not want to miss all the fun. Several different events will be taking place in Wellington this Sunday, which include Wellington’s Holiday Parade, Holiday Run/Walk along with a Holiday Fun Park and Tree Lighting.
This year Wellington will be hosting their 30th Holiday Parade and the Grand Marshall will be none other than Jarrod “Salty” Saltalmacchia, the Catcher for the 2013 World Series Champions The Boston Red Sox. The Wellington Holiday Parade will start at 2:30pm and begins at the corner of Wellington Trace and Forest Hill Blvd. It will travel down Forest Hill Blvd and end at Wellington’s Town Center and Amphitheater.
The Holiday Run/Walk will start at 2:15pm at Forest Hill Blvd and Country Club Drive. The cost if you pre-register is $15 for adults and $10 for kids who are 12 and younger or the day of the run $20 for adults and $15 for kids. The Holiday Fun Park & Tree Lighting will take place at the Wellington Amphitheater from 1:00pm to 6:00pm and will feature music from local school choruses, bounce houses, food along with exhibit booths. The Wellington Amphitheater is located at 12100 Forest Hill Blvd next to Scott’s Place.
